On May 17th and 18th, ViTrox College once again opened its doors to SPM leavers for A Day in Engineering, Computer Science, and Business at ViTrox College, Batu Kawan. The two-day immersive camp aims to spark inspiration and guide young minds toward future careers by offering an unique chance for students to explore Engineering, Computer Science or Business through hands-on workshops and expert-led sessions.

The event began with an energetic welcome session, introducing attendees to ViTrox’s cutting-edge technologies, innovative learning environment, and strong education commitment to nurturing future talent. This connection enables ViTrox College to deliver real-world-ready education, shaped by current industry demands and led by professionals who are actively driving change.

After the ceremony, participants broke into their respective camps to enjoy the prepared workshops. Each session is curated and designed to offer practical insights, hands-on experiences, and meaningful knowledge.

A DAY IN ENGINEERING

Led by ViTrox Technologies’ senior R&D engineers, the Engineering workshops offered participants a dynamic introduction to the core disciplines that drive the modern industrial world, focusing Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and and Electronic Engineering as well as Control System.

Students got their first taste of 3D design using Computer-Aided Drawing (CAD) software, simulating circuits using digital tools, building functional electronics systems, and learned how sensors and microcontrollers can be used to control devices, mimicking the functionality behind smart appliances. Each workshop in the Engineering camp was designed to be both intellectually engaging and practically rewarding, helping students to discover the breadth of opportunities within the field.

A DAY IN COMPUTER SCIENCE

While on the other side, the Computer Science camp journey began with the building blocks of the web: HTML and CSS, where they designed and built their own functional web pages. During the database session, participants learned how to organize data, write queries, and display results using structured language and tools. Lastly, participants discovered how to use Python programming to solve logical problems, automate simple tasks, and manipulate data. Through step-by-step coding challenges, they practiced using variables, loops, conditionals, and functions. Each workshop was designed to cater to both beginners and those with some exposure to coding while making the experience accessible yet challenging.

PANEL ENGAGEMENT

One of the highlights of the camp was the Panel Engagement Session, where students had the opportunity to engage directly with two of ViTrox’s most influential leaders: the CEO of ViTrox Corporation, Dato. Chu Jenn Weng and the Principal of ViTrox College, Dr Janaka Low. During the session, Dato. Chu shared his success story and the setbacks that shaped him. With clarity and humility, he stressed the importance of lifelong learning and staying grounded in values even as we reach for innovation. Besides that, Dr Janaka also emphasized the college’s mission to develop not just skilled graduates, but purposeful, ethical, and adaptable individuals. He spoke about how education is evolving, how values like curiosity and resilience must be equipped for careers that don’t yet exist.

As the two-day camp drew to a close, every student received a Certificate of Participation, a recognition of their dedication, curiosity, and willingness to explore new paths.

We’re incredibly proud of every student who took part in this journey. Your curiosity, energy, and passion lit up every session, and we can’t wait to see where your path leads next.💫
