The highly anticipated Tech 4 Good Challenge 2024 is officially open for registration and proposal submission until March 15, 2025!

Following the success of its previous editions, this competition invites Malaysian secondary and tertiary students to form teams of three and tackle real-world challenges using the engineering design process—all for a chance to win from an impressive RM24,000 prize pool.
Organized by ViTrox Technologies and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), the Tech 4 Good Challenge aims to promote STEM education and equip students with essential 21st-century skills. This competition provides a dynamic platform for young innovators to showcase their creativity, problem-solving abilities, and passion for science and technology.

What is Tech 4 Good Challenge
Tech 4 Good Challenge, which is now entering its third year of inventive competition, is the first national invention competition in Malaysia to be jointly organized by local technology companies and academia. Organized by ViTrox Technologies and UTAR, and coordinated by ViTrox Academy, the judging panel is composed of experienced engineers from industry, research professors from academia, and front-line practitioners in education.
Competition Categories and Tracks
The competition comprises two categories: the secondary school category (Category 1) and the tertiary category (Category 2).
Category 1: students from Form 1 to Form 5 (SPM), Year 8 to Year 11 (IGCSE) and Junior and Senior High 1,2,3 (UEC) will be contested.
Category 2: undergraduate, including STPM, A-Level and Foundation will be contested.
Tracks and Requirements
The organizers enthusiastically welcome all interested students to unleash their unique creativity in the three major competition categories, namely (1) Agricuture, (2) Healthcare, and (3) Manufacturing.
To develop students' skills in the application of emerging technologies, the participants have to integrate at least one of the advanced technologies, such as (1) Artificial Intelligence (AI), (2) the Internet of Things (IoT), (3) Robotics & Automation, (4) Machine Vision, or (5) Mobile Application into their proposed solutions.
Details of Competition
Tech 4 Good Challenge will unfold in two phases: the qualifying round and the prototype development for the grand finale. To better assist the students in championing the challenge, all qualified teams of Category 1 will be assigned a coach to provide support during the prototype development phase.
