Caring for the Coast: ViTrox College Students Unite for a Greener Future

On March 22, 17 dedicated volunteers, including students and lecturers from ViTrox College came together for the Queensbay Beach Cleaning event, driven by a shared mission to protect the environment and foster well-being through community service.
From 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM for volunteers, the volunteers showcased incredible teamwork and community spirit. With everyone’s effort, 15 packages of rubbish were collected, leaving the beach significantly cleaner and greener.
ViTrox College, Learning Beyond the Classroom
Before the event, the committee had the opportunity to learn from experienced volunteers at Tzu Chi Recycling Centre (Taman Sri Nibong). Their guidance on task coordination, proper waste sorting, and responsible disposal helped ensure the clean-up was both effective and environmentally sustainable.
The committee also took extra care to manage the collected waste responsibly, maximizing the positive impact of the initiative. To wrap up the day, participants gathered for a group photo, and the committee expressed heartfelt appreciation for their dedication and effort.
More Than a Clean-Up , A Commitment to Well-Being
This event was not just about cleaning a beach. It was about coming together, taking action for the environment, and fostering a sense of purpose and well-being among ViTrox College students. The event served as a reminder that small, collective actions can lead to meaningful change for future generations.
Big Thanks to Community Support
Community support played a key role in the success of the event. A special thank you goes to Bread History, which generously sponsored 30 loaves of bread, ensuring volunteers stayed energized. The committee also provided mineral water, keeping everyone hydrated and refreshed.
