About the course
Machine vision means the machine with a vision function, which facilitates the inspection, judgment, recognition, measurement and positioning, etc. Typically, machine vision systems comprise light source, shot, camera, image processing hardware and software and EU (execution unit). Machine vision Engineering programme covers optics, mechanical engineering, electronic engineering and computer hardware and software, which covers the field of image processing, pattern recognition, AI, opto-mechatronics, etc. In recent years, the rapid development of image processing and AI has greatly promoted machine vision.
SPM
​At least 3 credit passes, including (1) mathematics and (1) natural science/technical based subjects and (1) any subject; and 3 passes in English, BM and Sejarah
UEC
At least Grade B in any three (3) subjects, including mathematics and natural science/technical based subjects and pass in English
STPM
A minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in any subject or equivalent qualification and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent
O-level/ IGCSE
At least Grade C in any three (3) subjects, including mathematics and natural science/technical based subjects and pass in English
Accredited Certificate in:
Engineering/Engineering Technology/Technology; OR
Technical Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3, with PT3; or its equivalent
